​Salto Dance Company at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

 

As the only contemporary ballet company en pointe at the University of Michigan, Salto hosts two performances every year at the end of each semester. In addition, Salto can be seen performing throughout the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor communities at various campus and charity events. The dancers rehearse twice a week in order to prepare for their shows. 

Salto aims to express themselves creatively and inspire other people to appreciate dance as an art. The group was formed in 2009 to provide an outlet for the many ballet and lyrical dancers on campus, and to give them an opportunity to develop as choreographers, dancers, and creative thinkers.
